A HANDBOOK TO KOREA: For Your Next Trip Back
Written by Jodi Gill

FOR: All individuals interested in traveling to South Korea
The author writes this book for Korean adoptees, yet this is a valuable and insightful guide for anyone who plans to travel to South Korea--even if it's not the first time.
WHAT: A Travel Guide to South Korea that will make your journey easier
In addition to Jodi’s role as a travel guide who offers excellent suggestions based on experience, she writes as a friend throughout the book. Expect to be given tips on traveling basics such as useful phrases and valid words to know, how much cash you should take, and cultural nuances on negotiating and tipping. You'll discover what you should pack for your trip and know of helpful tools for communication. You will learn how to navigate the transportation system and the options you have while there. Jodi also shares her top hotel, food, and favorite picks on activities. The author even gives sample itineraries for three types of budgets: the skimper, the modest, and the extravagant! You'll be given things to know when it comes to cultural expectations and nuances from a friend who has traveled to Korea several times.

THE AUTHOR: She creates joint education programs with South Korean schools.
In her profession, Jodi leads teams of students and school administrators on trips to South Korea to build joint educational programs through her company GiDE USA. She has traveled near 20 times to South Korea. When COVID-19 hit the world, Jodi engaged with Korean adoptees and was encouraged to share her travel tips with the community. This is her first published book.
